I know what you're thinking and yes, this blog title sounds very clichéd. Let me begin by assuring you I wasn't forced to write this blog. My manager isn't stood behind me watching as I type, and I haven't drawn the short straw with the marketing department. I spend my days working on the Interim Digital Performance and Marketing team here at Aspire, and just wanted to use this blog as an opportunity to share how much I love working at Aspire.
1. I wasn't forced to write this blog. No, really.
It wasn’t a way to hit my monthly quota or a KPI, I simply wanted to let my creative juices flow. Promise.
2. Their investment in technology.
It may sound geeky, but being given the right tools to be able to do my job is a huge benefit. I’m able to shortlist candidates faster than any of my competition; in a couple of clicks I can have sent fantastic candidates to my client; and in twenty minutes I'm arranging interviews for them with ease.
3. We have sensible KPIs.
Perhaps a slight contradiction on my first point, but I don't believe any recruiter can be successful without them. The number one reason we recruitment consultants get fed up is due to an ever growing list of activities we are forced to focus on. My performance is measured on five key metrics. Being able to focus on achieving the things that matter instead of worrying about how many minutes I spend on the phone is pretty great.
4. The team of experts I work with.
When I first started working in recruitment I was sold the dream of earning lots of money fast. In reality, my recruitment dream took a lot longer to achieve and it took me a while to get my desk up and running. In my first recruitment role the average age in the company was 23, so it was a surprise to join Aspire and see consultants with families and mortgages living the recruitment dream I originally bought into. To me these people are inspirational and show me daily what it takes to be successful.
5. Free breakfast!
I love Frosties, so really what could be better than free Frosties?! Nothing.
There are plenty more reasons why working at Aspire is great but if I carry on you'll shut this page. I urge anyone who has a experience in recruitment or sales and is thinking of a change to consider Aspire. You’ll be amazed at the difference.
