Searching for contractors is a notoriously tricky and time-consuming task. One that usually requires a phone conversation with a candidate to ask them outright if they’re open to contract roles.
This is because contractors build their network behind the scenes through the various opportunities they take on, so as a recruiter, it’s hard to suss out their current availability and status just from looking at their profile.
If only you could instantly see whether a candidate is open to contract work, or even better, if you could find out if they may be keen in the future.
Well, now you can.
LinkedIn’s new Contract Sourcing feature allows members to indicate if they’re interested in contract roles - giving you a pipeline of contractors at your fingertips.
But it doesn’t stop there. Even if a member hasn’t indicated if they are open to contract roles, both the database in Recruiter and LinkedIn Insights can analyse profiles and predict if an individual will be interested over the next few years. So you can make a note of potential candidates for the future.
It's estimated a whopping 4 million profiles on LinkedIn are interested in contract work. So this new feature will introduce recruiters to a new pool of candidates they wouldn't have known about before.
A brilliant tool for finding, connecting with and recruiting top-notch contractors.
