As if you didn’t need any more persuading to join the Aspire team, we thought we’d dwell on the amazing commission packages on offer here. It goes without saying, all our recruitment consultants already get excellent basic salaries, meaning all their regular outgoings will be covered; but that’s not why you’re reading this article.
To help you work out what your Aspire commission would look like, we’ve been shopping for you. Of course, you could just open a savings account, but where’s the fun in that?
(A caveat here: yet, the tax man would get his hands on some of this, so no, you wouldn’t actually see every, but let us have our fun).
If you billed £7,200 in a month
You’d probably consider this as a bit of a slow month, but bill up to £7,200 and you’ll earn 5% of that as commission. This works out as £360 on top of your basic pay, which would cover your Glastonbury weekend ticket, a decent two man tent and probably a drink or two in Shangri-La.
If you billed £11,000 in a month
You’ll earn 5% on everything up to £7,200 and 10% on everything else over that – in other words, you’ll get £720 in your pocket. It’s time to stop living like a student and invest in a swanky bean to cup coffee machine and some Le Creuset mugs to match. Who said being a grownup had to be boring?
If you billed £15,000 in a month
With a performance like this, you’ll get an Aspire style pat on the back and an extra £1,140 in your bank. In our books, this calls for a holiday. (Well, by holiday we mean a city break). Why not spend a weekend soaking up the culture in Barcelona, or enjoying the sights in Budapest?
If you billed £18,000 in a month
Here at Aspire, for every penny you bill over £15,500 you’ll earn 15%, so if you make £18,000 a month (or around three senior placements), you’ll earn an extra £1565. As luck would have it, this could buy you a beautiful Mulberry Bayswater and a few cocktails to celebrate your new bag. Or if handbags aren’t your thing, you could treat yourself to a pretty snazzy TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph watch instead.
If you billed £23,000 in a month
Still with us? Bill £20,500 onwards and you’ll earn 20% commission. This means if you bill £23,000 you’ll be taking home an extra £2,440. This could buy your annual Arsenal season ticket and use the change to upgrade to Sky Sports. If football isn’t your cup of tea, why not fly to The Big Apple for a long weekend of retail therapy?
And we’re still not done. For everything you bill over £25,000 in a single month, you’ll take home 25% uncapped. We guarantee that as a total package, our consultants will take home at least 30% of their billings, and we have six monthly reconciliations to make sure that nobody is earning under that threshold.
Despite everything we’ve said, these ideas probably aren’t long term ways to use your money. Of course we suggest you put some of your payslip to good use, in fact we’ve helped many of our employees invest in their first bricks and mortar, and always allow you to make charitable donations directly should you wish.
